When Maryam arrives on the 13-mile-long island of Saipan her mysterious nature intrigues the community. Like the secluded island, Maryam is full of secrets and untold stories. She attempts to redefine herself in hopes of gaining what she desperately seeks: a family. As time goes on, however, Maryam discovers that familial relationships are complicated, no matter how far we run to escape.
